OOC: Animal Companionship

Certain memes on bakerstreet (not to mention the life I've given him on tumblr) have given Victor quite the zoo to deal with when it comes to pets. Here is a quick write-up on the animals you're likely to see in Victor's life should you tag into the appropriately-themed meme:

Animals In Victor's Life

BAYARD
Husky Dog

Bayard is a white-and-grey husky with blue eyes and a very enthusiastic, bouncy personality. He seems to think that he’s either a much smaller dog than he really is, or that he never actually grew out of the puppy stage. Victor loves him dearly, and Bayard returns that love tenfold. Bayard adores meeting new people, and is friendly with just about everyone -- although he does tend to bark more than your average husky. His favorite things include playing fetch, having his ears scratched, digging holes, and chewing his bed. (He doesn’t chew anything else, just his bed. Victor’s baffled by this.) He comes in both puppy and full-grown forms, and can appear in any meme related to pets or other companion animals.

MOONLIGHT
Pernese Fire Lizard

Moonlight is a silver Pernese fire lizard, from an AU Pern where the creatures come in eleven colors as opposed to the standard five. Victor came upon his nest one day and Impressed the little creature by feeding him some of his lunch. Moonlight's key personality traits are "relaxed, lazy, and gentle" -- he's willing to take a little mild abuse from kids, rarely snaps or tries to claw anyone, and spends a lot of time sunning himself or riding around on Victor's head/shoulders. However, he's quite curious upon meeting new people, and very protective of his owner -- bothering Victor or doing other things Moonlight doesn't approve of will get you a flitt scolding. Most of the time, though, he's a little sweetheart -- and he'll never say no to being petted. Any meme he appears in is part of what I call the Pern Crashed In verse. He's most likely to appear in fantasy-related memes, although any that can allow a tiny dragon are fair game.

SPLATTER
Spotted Cat

Splatter is a white cat covered in black spots (like he's been splattered with black paint), with one blue eye and one green. Technically, he’s Alice’s cat — Victor gives her Splatter as a kitten after he and Bayard discover the poor thing crying on the street — but he's a good friend of Bayard’s, so he may as well be mentioned. He likes pouncing on things, snuggling with his owners, and playing with Bayard. He's yet to appear in a meme, but I'm leaving the option open since he's part of Victor's family. Memes he's likely to make an appearance in include the same type as Bayard -- anything that could conceivably involve pets.

LUCINDA
Dormouse Daemon

Lucinda is Victor's daemon, having taken her final form of a small Hazel Dormouse during his teenage years. Like her other half, she’s a quiet, shy thing, who doesn't usually make much conversation with other daemons. She's actually a bit clingy, in fact -- she hates being separated from Victor and will go to great lengths to stay near him. Her favorite things to do are ride around in Victor's pocket, keeping an eye on the world while tucked safely away from all danger. Her favorite food is hazelnuts, and she also likes to eat fresh daisies whenever she gets the chance. She only appears in daemon-related memes, natch.
